BREAKFASTS

 Four times a year, For Our Town Gilbert hosts a complimentary breakfast that brings engaged citizens together around the conversations that matter most to our community. Our team creates a  welcoming space where neighbors connect and important ideas take root.  

 This Year FOT Breakfast are leaning into the "YEAR FOR OUR YOUTH".

  Each Quarterly Breakfast will address current family crisis needs affecting our youth and our families.  

• August 6, 2026 – MYAC / Youth-Led Meeting
• November 5, 2026 – CASA / Foster Care
• February 4, 2027 – Social Media / National Center on Sexual Exploitation (Protecting Children, Equipping Parents)
• May 6, 2027 – Teen Violence / Substance Misuse

 The August breakfast opens with the voices that matter most: our own youth. Led by the Mayor's Youth Advisory Commission, this meeting puts Gilbert teens at the center of the conversation, sharing what they see, feel, and need. If you work with youth or want to understand their world firsthand, we invite you to listen, learn, and join the discussion.

DESERT CHURCH 

We'll explore what it takes to become a foster parent, or CASA advocate and how our community can open more homes and hearts. If you have a story, a resource, or are curious about fostering, we'd love for you to join this important conversation. 

 Our children are growing up online, and the risks are real. In partnership with the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, this meeting tackles online exploitation, screen addiction, and cyberbullying. 

 This meeting opens an honest conversation about the pressures driving teen substance misuse and what we can do.  This isn't about the party kids. It's about the honor student who buys Adderall online to keep up with the next AP test and ends up with fentanyl.
