On November 1, 2025, the federal government’s shutdown will lead to a pause in SNAP benefits for eligible Arizonans.
The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) has confirmed it will be unable to distribute Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) benefits for November unless federal funding is restored.
Nearly 900,000 Arizonans rely on SNAP each month—including families with children, seniors and veterans.

The short story is this...people are food insecure now, and will be until the benefits are fully restored and distributed to people.
